Immerse
yourself in the Spanish language and Mexican culture on a 16-day
intensive program in Cuernavaca, Mexico, with Tri-County Technical
College. You will also take classes before going to and upon returning
from Mexico to complete class requirements. Program dates in Mexico
are July 5 through July 20, 2008. There will be three class meetings
upon return to the U.S.
What
will I do in Mexico?
You will have the experience of a lifetime!
During the day, you will learn Spanish through
culture, conversation and grammar classes
at a language institute. Language classes
are small, with less than ten students in
each class. You and another student will stay
with a Mexican host family and learn much
sharing breakfast and lunch and your experiences
with them. You will also have the opportunity
to visit fascinating museums, impressive archaeological
sites and beautiful nearby cities and towns
with the group.
Can
I earn credit for 102 in just two weeks?!
Not exactly
in addition to the classes in Mexico, you will
have classes at Tri-County before leaving for Mexico and when
you get back.
Do
I register for 102 during early registration?
Applications are due February 15, 2008. You will be notified of
your acceptance February 25 and then you can register for the
course.
Will
I need to buy a book?
Yes, you will use the Aventuras
book, workbook and supersite.
Will
all students going to Mexico cover the same material?
No, some students will be enrolled in Spanish 204, Spanish in
a Cross-Cultural Context, and they will cover different material
than in 102.
How
do I sign up?
