Do I actually have to study?
Of course, but it is easier and fun when you are surrounded by the Spanish language and Mexican culture.

Will I get credit?
Yes, 4 hours credit at Tri-County for Spanish in a Cross-Cultural Context (SPA204) or for Elementary Spanish II (SPA 102)

Can I earn credit for 102 in just two weeks?!
Not exactly… in addition to the classes in Mexico, you will have classes at Tri-County before leaving for Mexico and when you get back.

Will my 204 credit transfer to my four-year university?
Anderson University equivalent=3 hours Spanish elective or International Studies course
College of Charleston equivalent=Spanish 201

  1. academic preparation and strength,
  2. sense of maturity, responsibility, and citizenship,
  3. ability to describe how study abroad experience will apply to academic and personal goals; and knowledge of proposed destination and culture. Enrollment is limited to 30 students.
Faculty directors will notify students of selection by Friday, March 30.
