The Science Department at Tri-County Technical College is learning-focused, fostering in its first and second-year college students a proclivity for active inquiry, an appreciation for the relevance and dynamism of science, and the academic ability to meet the nation’s highest collegiate standards for natural and physical sciences. The Department teaches courses for transfer and career associate’s degree programs as well as prerequisite courses for health education majors. The Department is recognized as a regional leader in developing and teaching innovative, science-intensive courses and degree programs that meet emerging employment needs.
In the Science Department, faculty, laboratory specialists and students work together to create rich learning environments where diverse theories and concepts are explored and analyzed in relation to their scientific, personal, and societal implications.
