For your marketing class, your professor wants you to write a paper on the use of stereotypes in advertising.  While you may want to look at articles from both popular magazines and scholarly journals, your professor has emphasized that you should use some original research studies, which are likely to be found only in the scholarly journals.

For a topic like this, you could use a cross-disciplinary database like Academic Search Premier or a specialized business database like Business Source Premier.  Further, since stereotypes are such an important issue in both psychology and sociology, you might want to use the Psychology and Behaviorial Sciences Collection as well.
