Using Library Catalog

The Library home page, which we call Library Lynx, is considered the gateway, or portal, to all the available resources that we offer and is usually the best place to start your research.

Library Lynx Home Page

This particular module covers how to search the TCTC library catalog. If you are looking at the home page, click on the Books link.

When you have completed this module you should be able to:

  • recognize that the library catalog contains more than just books
  • find books by keyword, title, author, or subject heading
  • determine the location of books or journals
  • read a call number and use it to find items in the library
  • find an item placed on reserve using a Reserve Desk search
