Description
This course introduces microcomputer applications software, including word processing, databases, spreadsheets, graphs, and their integration. Business-oriented projects are developed using Microsoft Office software.

Prerequisites
The student should have the ability to read and comprehend text, including interpreting acronyms and technical terms.
The student should have the ability to read and follow directions.
The student should have the ability to perform basic mathematical operations based on a series of incremental processes.
The student should have the ability to perform basic keyboarding skills.

Grading Rationale
There will be activity credit for each topic, and a test at the end of each application topic. Activity credit will be awarded for assignments and chapter tests.

The final grade will be calculated as follows:

20% Test - Word
10% Activity credit-Excel
20% Test - Excel
10% Activity credit-PowerPoint
