Competencies and Objectives: Upon completion of this course, the student should be able to: 1. Define electronic commerce (EC) and describe its various categories. 2. Describe the limitations of EC. 3. Define e-marketplaces and list their components. 4. Define and describe the primary business models of electronic retailing (“e-tailing”). 5. Describe the factors that influence consumer behavior online. 6. Describe the B2B field. 7. Define e-marketplace and exchanges. 8. Describe intrabusiness and business-to-employee e-commerce. 9. Describe the characteristics and attributes of m-commerce. 10. Describe the differences between legal and ethical issues in EC. 11. Understand the crucial factors that determine the success of e-payment methods. 12. Describe the importance and essentials of EC strategies. |
