BSN Completion Information

RN to BSN

If you are currently a registered nurse and you are interested in advancing your education, Tri-County Technical College and Clemson University’s collaborative program allows you to continue earning a bachelor’s degree and/or master’s degree while you work.  This partnership is for registered nurses who want to broaden their area of expertise for today’s challenging health-care environment.  RNs can complete their general education course work for the Bachelor of Science in nursing on the campus of Tri-County Technical College, which offers the advantages of

  • Face-to-face and Web-enhanced instruction
  • Lower costs for required general education courses
  • Lottery tuition assistance
  • A fast track to completing the BS in nursing

While you are enrolled in the RN-GE (General Education) component of the RN-BS at Tri-County Technical College, you are also considered a Clemson University student without Clemson tuition. However, you may take full advantage of the benefits offered to Clemson students! You will have a Clemson email address and internet access as well as the University Libraries’ databases, books, journals, and primary research materials. You can also use your student ID to get discounted tickets to certain Clemson sporting events.

After your general education courses are completed with the appropriate GPA, you may begin the RN-BS component through Clemson University administered at the University Center of Greenville. Some of the advantages you’ll find are:

  • Face-to-face and web-enhanced instruction
  • Convenient one day-a-week classes
  • Individualized clinical focus
  • Academic credit for knowledge you’ve acquired as an ADN
  • Greater opportunities in nursing
  • Up to six hours of graduate credit are available as part of your bachelor’s degree

The RN-BS program prepares nurses for today’s changing health care environment and is flexible, personal, convenient and accessible for today’s active student.
